Hello Everybody,
I hope you all had a good Easter. I did. As I told you in my previous blog,I spent most of the 1st week in Blackpool. On my first night in Blackpool. Gran, Grandad and I went for a meal out, but not before we watched The Weakest Link! I had steak & chips. On Saturday we all went to Preston. While we were out, Gran brought me one of those dogs on a rug (Not a real dog) when you switch it on it breathes and looks as it it’s sleeping! You’ve probaby seen them in the shops. Gran got me this for getting a Gold award at college at the end of last term for working hard. Everyone who has seen my sleeping dog thinks he’s very cute.
I’ll explain about the Award Scheme: Every student here has a Chart will all their lessons on. They’re all set in rows. At the end of every lesson, If you deserve it, your tutor will put a sticker next to that lesson. This continues till the end of a full term. At the end of the full term every student gets an award for how many stickers they’ve got on their chart. There are three different awards: Bronze, Silver and Gold. To get a gold award you have to get 200 stickers on your chart.
Anyway let’s get back to where we were. While we were out I brought the book Marley & Me. Up until this time I had only read the film adaption, but now I’m reading the proper novel. When I got back to Kettering again, the kitchen was still in a bit of a state, so I had to stay out of the way. Most of the time I spent in my room, watching movie or listening to music, but I also went into town a few times. While I was in town I brought Gran’s birthday card and present. I brought her her own copy of Faryl’s album. She really loved it. When we went to celebrate her 70thbirthday with a meal out I had scampi & Chips. Another time when I went into town, I also brought my French godmother, Esme a copy o f Faryl’s album. She is also thrilled with it. She told my in an email today that the track she likes most from the album is probably “Mother of God, Here I stand”. She says it’s difficult to choose from!
I also brought a Bob Marley CD. Bob Marley is the musician, which the dog, Marley in the book Marley & Me was named after. Marley & Me is actually a true story. It’s written by an American non-fiction writer called John Grogan.

Here is a photo of Marley & John together. Two weeks tomorrow on 14th May, I’ll be 21! I’m excited! I don’t know what I’m doing for my birthday yet! I know on that weekend Gran & Grandad are coming down to see me & callum. Callum is my identical twin brother. He’ll also be 21. I’m ten minutes older then him. I’m hoping that in the summer Esme and me will go to St Georges in France where she comes from, so we can see her family and spend some time together. I hope you enjoy your latest reading, there’s a lot to read isn’t there?
