I’ve celebrated two birthdays this week

September 30, 2009

Hello all,

On Tuesday 29th September, I had two birthdays to celebrate. My Grandad was 73 yesterday. Also I had a birthdayto celebate coming from Luxembourg.  Esme my French godmother, who comes from France, but lives in Luxembourg was 40 yesterday.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY to both of you!

On Thursdays I do another work placement. I work for Charmwood Bourogh Council. Last Thursday was my first week there. I go there every Thursday morning from 9am to 12pm. Last week I did some work with a guillotine, I also sorted papers into piles.

This coming Friday 2nd October I’m going home for the weekend. I’m looking forward to that. I haven’t seen my Mum & Dad for 3 weeks since I came back at the start of term. I’ll go for a drink with Dad on Friday night. Then on Saturday I’m going with Mum to Birmingham shopping. There are at lest 5  HMV’s in Birmingham. I also like the shop Selfridges in Birningham, because it sells Hershy chocolate bars and Wonka chocolate bars, from the book “Charlie & The Chocolate Factory” by Roald Dahl, one of my favourite authors.

Faryl Smith, the young saprano from Brittan’s Got Talent, has a new album out on 30th November called “Wonderland” I’m going to get it for Christmas as I’m a big fan of Faryl. For those of you that didn’t know it I come from the same area as Faryl, which is Kettering in Northamptonshire.

I’m still quite busy

September 23, 2009

Hello Everybody,

I’m still very busy here. Last Friday afternoon I went into town for some shopping; but nothing exicting

Drinks, chocolate, shower gel etc.  Saturday I was in town again. This time I bought batteries for my sleeping puppy, which I have at Stan Bell. It’s a little pretend sleeping St Bernard puppy. When you switch it on it start to breathe, while it’s sleeping. It looks so real. A lot of Stan Bell staff when they first saw it thourght it was a real one! See picture Below:

I called it Marley after the film “Marley & Me” which is about a dog named Marley. I also went into Varsity’s, a pub in town and had a Smirnoff Ice. I can drink alcohol now as I’m 21. I also watch the films “Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire” and “Marley & Me” On Sunday night I went swimming. On Monday in our cooking lesson we made a Semi Rich Fruit cake. Our teacher, Deneise also made one. She says she did something wrong to it. At the end of the lesson we had a drink, and tasted her cake. But we didn’t think there was anything wrong with it! Take that as a complement Denise! We made these to sell at of Coffee Morning we’re having on Friday this week. I can’t remember what we’re rasing money for on that day. In the Cope lesson this week we put the invertations to the staff tea party and sent them out to staff. (If you’re a member of RNIB staff I hoped you recived one and hope you can come.) Come and have a rest from college life! Students from Cope are attending the party as well.

I’m getting busy

September 16, 2009

Hello Everyone,

I’m getting busy at college. Last weekend I went

into town with Stan Bell staff and bought a classical

record from a charity shop. I also bought a video

there too. On the way back to the Stan Bell centre

I bought a portian of chips from the chip shop

then I had them on a bench under a tree in the

park.

In one of my new lessons this year, Cope, we are

planning a staff teaparty. It’s happening on

Tuesday 27th October 2009, at college in the

Confrence Room upstairs.

They’ll  be tea, coffee and biscuits and music.

Students from Cope will also be atteneding the

party to keep staff happy and company.

It’s free to get in. it’s for 55 people. So I hope

you’re lucky enough to recive an invertation.

By the way I myself designed the invertations!

Enjoy your latest reading! Craig

It’s Good To Be Back!

September 9, 2009

Hello everyone,

It’s good to be back after the summer break. I’m pleased to inform you that I got funding for a third year! The Drama I was in for 1 week over the summer at my church  went well.  The film Marley & Me came out on DVD over the summer, just after we broke up. It’s about a Labrador retriever called Marley. Marley the dog was named after his owner’s (John & Jenny Grogan’s) idol- The reggae singer Bob Marley.  I bought my own copy of it. It’s a good film. It has a very sad ending though! When I saw the film at the cinema with Mum when it first came out I cried at the end! Marley and Me is actually a true story John Grogan wrote it. In the film John & Jenny Grogan are portrayed by actors, Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston. I also saw the film Bruno in the summer. That is also a good film. Also over the summer I went to Blackpool for a week to stay with my Gran & Grandad who live there. While I was there Me and Grandad went to see the musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat for the 3rd time! It starred Craig Charlmers as Joesph. I’m a bit sad that my college friend Reannon has left here now, but I’m keeping in touch with her by email. We’ve kept in contact all summer and she’s fine.
