The Ho Ho Ho! Event, What I did last weekend & the children’s Christmas Party

Hello all,

It’s nearly Christmas now! There’s a lot of Christmas Sprit in the air at college at the moment. Last Thursday 3rd December, 2009 some members of my drama group including myself went to an event called The “Ho Ho Ho!” Event. A friend of mine called Marley who’s also in my drama group came along to. We all know who says “Ho Ho Ho!” don’t we… Santa Clause! He’ll be coming to everyone’s house soon!

At this event my drama group performed of sence of their christmas play Scrooge. We performed the scene where The Ghost Of Christmas Yet To Come visits Scrooge and shows him his grave and Scrooge realises he must change his grumpy bad tampered ways. Scrooge is played by a student called Hassan, while the ghost is played by me. Here is a picture from the day:

"Oh No Sprit I'm not the man I was! I will honor Christmas in my heart!"

My drama teacher, Anna Janicki, was very impessed that I remembered other student’s lines as well as my own, and therefore was able to prompt them. For example I remided Scrooge to get down on the ground at the right moment in his sorrow. So the event went really well. It was better then doing normal lessons in college. I said that in the thank you letter I wrote to the college who oraninised the event. I hope they’ll be touched by that. We’re doing the whole play for our Winter Festival this coming Friday 11th December 2009. The play is from one till two in the college confrence room, so don’t miss it! Also on the Friday night, I’m going to Beauty & the Beast panto at Loughbrough Town Hall, So I’m really looking forward to Friday! I’ve been looking forward to the panto for the last 3 months: September- December 2009!

This Sunday gone, 6th December 2009, I went to the Great Central Railway and went on a steam train, with Stan Bell. On the train I saw Santa, and got a model sports car off him as an early Christmas presant. It was lovley! That night to celebrate my steam train trip, I watched some episodes of Thomas the Tank Engine. I like the first two sires because they’re narrated by Ringo Starr, one of The Beatles. The first two sires of Thomas The Tank Engine narrated by Ringo was braodcast on ITV from 1984 to 1986, so before I was born. I have those two sires on DVD.

Yesterday 8th December 2009, the college had its Children’s Christmas pary. Young children from the school opersite Stan Bell attened. This happens every year. I played Santa. I played Santa because I requested to play him, while we were oranising it. I played Santa for our play “Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer” which we performed nearly a year ago at our last Winter Festival. ( see my other blogs for details). I enjoyed playing Santa so much, that I wanted to play him again, so I did! Here is a picture of me as Father Christmas:
